Required Documents
The basic requirements for teaching English in Korea are:
At least a 4-year bachelor’s degree
Citizen of either: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand
Documents:
• Copy of diploma with apostille* (what’s that?)
• Criminal background check with apostille
• 2 sets of sealed university transcripts
• 4 passport sized photos
• Photocopy of 1st page of passport
• Health statement (provided by Telly English)
• Signed employment contract (provided by Telly English)

*An apostille is basically a document that acts as a notarization for international use. In other words, an apostille is like a notary that's good for use in other countries. To obtain this, you typically need to get a simple notarization, then locate the entity in your area that issues apostilles and submit your documents to receive this authenication.
